One of my favourite interior designers has a homeware collection - Kelly Hoppen x M&S - with gorgeous pieces from textured cushions and luxurious bedlinen to lamps, sculptural vases and scented candles. This autumn, Kelly has added more eye-catching pieces to the collection, including the portable lamp pictured below.
Kelly Hoppen is one of the world’s most celebrated interior designers, known for her elegant and timeless style. She brought her signature look to her first homeware collection for M&S, which launched in September 2024 online and in 64 stores. Now we can all bring a little of her style into our own homes at affordable prices.
Globally renowned for her East-meets-West design philosophy, defined by neutral palettes, clean lines and luxurious textures, she has authored ten interior design books, including her retrospective House of Hoppen. She has made television appearances on Dragons’ Den and Interior Design Masters, which have helped make her a household name.
Born in Cape Town and raised in London, Kelly began her career at 16 by designing a family friend’s kitchen. Since then, her projects have ranged from high-end residential properties and hotels to private jets and superyachts. She was awarded an MBE for her services to interior design and later appointed a CBE for her contributions to promoting British business and creativity overseas.
I first came across Kelly’s work on one of my early shoots for interior magazines at a house in London. It had a sophisticated interior with the distinctive monochrome palette for which she is also renowned. Pictured above is Kelly with one of the scented candles from her M&S collection. My friend bought me one for my birthday and the fragrance is incredible. Even without being lit, it fills the room with an aromatic blend of bergamot, sweet clove and patchouli. The white ceramic vessel is a stylish accessory in its own right, complete with a lid.
The Kelly Hoppen x M&S collaboration began with a collection of bedding, cushions, throws and accessories, before expanding into tableware and fragrance the following spring. In this article, I’ll share some of my other favourites from the range, alongside the new additions.

This portable table lamp is a new addition to the collection and emits a soft, ambient glow, perfect for adding warmth to an entryway, living room or dining room, but it would also work beautifully in a bedroom. I love its contemporary architectural shape, featuring a square glass shade paired with a polished chrome base. And, as it’s powered by a rechargeable battery, you don’t even need a socket nearby, so you can easily move it between surfaces and place it wherever you need a little extra light. Pop it on a shelf in your living room, beside your bed or in the centre of your dining table to create an inviting atmosphere over dinner.

Although renowned for her signature neutral palette, Kelly occasionally introduces a bold colour accent, like the burgundy cushions pictured here, which are new additions to the collection. The pure cotton bolster has a plain design with contrast piped edges for a contemporary look. The square cushion, made from a cotton-rich fabric, features textured appliqué detailing in a striking geometric design that makes a statement on a sofa or chair, particularly when paired with a plain cushion. Cushions are an easy way to introduce richer colour without overwhelming a room, and these wine tones bring warmth and depth to neutral schemes of off-white and soft beige.

As a fan of soft neutral tones and always on the lookout for more rounded shapes, I was immediately drawn to this trio of bud vases. They're crafted from durable ceramic, with different detailing on each one. These sculptural vases are ideal for displaying a few individual blooms or sprigs of foliage and add a sophisticated touch to any room. I like grouping decorative pieces in odd numbers, as this creates a natural arrangement that is pleasing to the eye.

Luxurious bed linen not only feels softer to sleep in but also adds that five-star hotel look to your bedroom. Kelly is an expert in hotel design and knows exactly what it takes to create a beautifully dressed bed. The pure cotton sateen bedding set featured here combines breathable cotton with a smooth sateen weave for a luxurious feel. The innovative StayNew™ technology helps maintain the bedding's premium look and feel wash after wash, while the understated design complements a whole range of bedroom schemes. To add another layer of texture, dress the bed with a throw or bedspread, like this taupe bedspread in cotton and linen, with its delicate embroidery and subtle quilting. Finish with decorative cushions for a thoughtfully styled bed.

Animal prints introduce a glamorous touch to an interior. This cushion features a bold leopard print and is ideal for elevating a sofa or bed. The jacquard weave adds subtle texture, while the soft filling keeps its plump shape. Style your animal prints against plain fabrics so they take centre stage.

This striking glazed bowl from the collection makes a statement on any surface. Show off its spliced design as a dining table centrepiece or on top of stacked coffee table books. Arrange a couple of large blooms, such as the dahlias pictured here, or fill it with seasonal decorations like pine cones or decorative glass baubles. I like how versatile a shallow bowl like this one can be, as it could also hold fruit while making a stylish addition to a kitchen worktop.

This luxurious pure wool rug features a geometric design of dashes and comes in a versatile rectangular shape to suit most living areas. The contemporary black motif gives the taupe rug definition and is an ideal way to introduce pattern into a room. Rather than being an afterthought, a rug anchors a seating area and brings a feeling of warmth and comfort. I often choose my rug before any other furniture in the room, then plan the seating and other pieces around it.

A characterful wooden chopping or serving board, like the one pictured here, can double up as a decorative piece, leaning against a kitchen wall or hanging from a hook, as well as providing a stylish way to present everything from canapés to cheeses. The rustic wood brings a natural touch, while its contrasting white strip creates a striking backdrop for delicious displays of food. Wooden boards are always versatile, and this one has a cut-out loop for easy hanging. You could also, as I do, make it a feature on your worktop, laying it flat and using it to group condiments and bottles of oils together.

It’s that time of year when we want to make our homes warm and cosy, and candlelight is one of my favourite ways to create atmosphere. This sleek cylindrical candle holder in soft beige has ridged detailing and is designed especially to hold dinner candles. I like to group small candle holders in odd numbers or dot them along the centre of a dining table for a soft, flickering glow.
